2011 Veteran's Luncheon

I had the distinct honor of photographing this years Veteran's Luncheon on Fort Meade. It is an annual event put on by the ROWC, and many other co-sponsers, to honor our veterans. The event was wonderful. The NSA Color Guards presented the colors.

There were so many wonderful speakers and attendees. The guest speaker was Colonel (Ret.) Kenneth McCreedy. He did a wonderful job!
There were many veteran's in attendance. One was a POW in Vietnam for seven years. Another veteran was a WWII veteran that I got to talk to before the ceremony started. He told me that he had recently had a couple high school students interview him. He laughed as he said that if I were to read their reports I'd think he won the war all by himself. He was very humble in telling me that they wanted to publish the report in his local paper, but he declined. He didn't want to be the center of attention, with it written that way;their was so much more to it. I didn't get his name but will never forget him.
There was a table set up to honor all the fallen Comrades. It was very beautiful and humbling.

Thank you to all that have served and are currently serving our country. If you'd like to see more pictures of this event go to
I am so blessed to be a part of this. Thank you to the ROWC for including me in such a wonderful event.

**Moore Family**

This past Friday I had the privilege of shooting some family photos for one of my great friends. Her husband serves in the United States Air Force and has his pilot license, so we did photos at the small airport by post. It was such a fun shoot. Very unique and meaningful to them. After the shoot, Dad and son went flying for the first time, just the two of them. It was such a special father/son moment and I was honored to be able to capture it.
Here are a few pics from the shoot. Enjoy!

I hope this family enjoys these photos and memories for years!

Around the house

I am starting my new business venture here in Maryland. I'm working on getting a website set up but wanted to share a blog in the meantime.  I am trying to pick up my camera and shoot everyday, even if I don't have a photo shoot. I feel that each time I click the shutter button is a chance for me to keep learning. So, today, after cleaning up the house, I decided to get some pics inside my home. Please comment and let me know what you think.
